Dr. Sloan is a Phoenix native who grew up as a patient in this very practice — an experience that shaped not only his passion for dentistry, but his deep commitment to the kind of personalized, relationship-driven care that has defined this office for decades. Today, he is proud to carry that tradition forward as its doctor and owner.
Dr. Sloan earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University, one of the nation’s leading dental schools. Following graduation, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through NYU Lutheran — a rigorous, hospital-based program with a focused emphasis on advanced restorative care. His residency training encompassed a remarkably broad scope of clinical experience, including full mouth rehabilitations, implant placement, surgical procedures ranging from routine extractions to full mouth reconstruction, advanced periodontal surgery, endodontics, and the diagnosis and treatment of oral and facial pain conditions including temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders and sleep apnea therapy.
Committed to lifelong learning, Dr. Sloan has completed the full curriculum at Spear Education — one of the most prestigious continuing education institutes in dentistry — and holds a Maxicourse certification through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, representing one of the most comprehensive implant training programs available. He has pursued extensive continuing education in sleep dentistry, allowing him to offer dental solutions for patients managing sleep-disordered breathing. Dr. Sloan is also an active member of local dental study clubs, staying engaged with the broader dental community and ensuring his skills and techniques continue to evolve alongside the profession.
Outside the office, Dr. Sloan is a devoted husband to his wife Ally and father to their three children — twins Ben and Lizzy, and their youngest, Jack. When he’s not cheering on the kids at their various activities or planning the next family vacation, you might find him on the golf course or the softball field.
